The INGLO basis is the same for the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e electric SUVs. They’ll go hand in hand with the Mahindra XUV400, a small electric SUV.

On Tuesday, Mahindra introduced the BE 6e and XEV 9e electric SUVs to the Indian market. The BE 6e costs ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the Mahindra XEV 9e has a starting price of ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The XUV400 tiny electric SUV from the company is joined by the new electric SUVs. Additionally, the domestic auto giant introduced the two sub-brands XEV and BE along with these two electric vehicles. Delivery of the electric SUVs will start in February or March of the following year, with the vehicles going on sale in January 2025.

Design of the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e

With its triangle LED headlight design and LED DRLs spanning the SUV’s width, the Mahindra XEV 9e is built on the same INGLO platform, an EV-specific modular architecture that will house a few more future Mahindra electric vehicles. It has elegant LED taillights and linked LED DRLs in the shape of an inverted L. Other design components include a butch appearance and an illuminated logo. 

Sharp character lines, large wheel arches, C-shaped LED DRLs, and a sleek bumper are all features of the Mahindra BE 6e’s modern design concept. Additionally, it features an illuminated BE symbol on the hood and a hood scoop to guarantee aerodynamic efficiency. Additionally, the SUV has 20-inch wheels that are optimized for aerodynamics.

The interiors of the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e are designed with the driver in mind. According to the automaker, fighter planes served as inspiration for the inside design of these SUVs. An impressive feature of the XEV 9e’s interior is its triple-screen configuration, which consists of three 12.3-inch screens driven by Mahindra’s Adrenox software. There are two displays on the BE 6e, and they are both the same size. The XEV 9e is equipped with an ADAS suite, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless smartphone charging. The Mahindra BE 6e has a big sunroof and an illuminated logo. Additionally, the SUV boasts a 360-degree camera and an ADAS suite.Another important component of these SUVs’ interiors is the 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

Both 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack variants are supported by the Mahindra INGLO platform. Only the smaller battery pack models will be offered at first. With its lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs, the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e offer improved heat protection. The quick charging capabilities of these two electric SUVs promise a 20–80% charge in 20 minutes with a 175 kW DC fast charger. Peak power output from these electric powertrains can range from 224 to 278 horsepower. About 500 kilometers may be covered by a single charge of the 79 kWh battery pack.
